Eve & Freddie

It's been a whirlwind of a summer so far! Less than a week after returning from Sweden I hopped on a plane to Boston. Before I could finish editing those photos and write a blog post about that trip I had a wedding to shoot. The wedding took priority over travel blogging of course. I take shooting events very seriously because there are no do-overs. It takes quite a bit of time to prepare for a once in a lifetime wedding before I even show up and make the first image. This was a very nice and simple wedding that took place at Piney Creek Methodist Church then moved over to the River House Inn (located on the New River) for the reception. It was the perfect setting for a Fourth of July weekend wedding. The skies were blue, the New River was clear and shimmering with highlights, and it wasn't even that hot! I just finished the editing process yesterday. Here are just a few of my favorites in black and white. Congratulations to the bride and groom!

This shot was not staged. I simply stood back to observe the couple acting natural just after the ceremony while waiting for the guests to exit.
