We're enjoying our first measurable amount of snow here in my neck of the woods. I've been long awaiting the opportunity to photograph the winter landscape. Snow has a way of simplifying forest scenes. So far this winter it has been unusually warm and rainy (and very muddy). More of the white stuff is on its way later this week. Can't wait to get out into the winter woods! Right now, however, it's 0 degrees F with a windchill of -20. I'll be indoors keeping the wood stove going for most of the night. Soon I should have some new material to post. Until then here is a quick shot of my wife enjoying a cup of coffee in the great outdoors yesterday. Happy New Year!
